Stained Glass Windows

Make a stained glass window, no knitting skills needed!

(template to make your own stained glass :))

You will need

  • Permanent black marker
  • White paper
  • Markers or crayons
  • Baby oil or vegetable oil
  • Paper cup
  • Cotton swabs
  • Newspaper

1 Print out or draw a design with a permanent black marker on white paper.

2 Draw geometric shapes around the main design.

3 Colour the entire paper with brightly coloured markers or crayons.

4 Pour baby oil into a small paper cup.

5 Dip the cotton swab into the oil and gently apply oil to the back of the picture. Allow the oil to dry before hanging your stained glass creation.

Apply only a small amount of oil to the paper, just enough to make the paper look translucent.

Gently paint the oil on the back of the paper or you will rip the paper.

To avoid stains on furniture, always use newspaper.

Take a photo for the St Botolph’s website! Can you spot yours?
